With HTML, you can add hyperlinks, images, tables, font colors, and background colors to your newsletter. The problem with HTML is that not all email clients are capable of executing it. And even those which do support it tend to execute it differently. This would usually jumble up your newsletter content and layout.

The third and least popular format among all the three formats is the PDF newsletter. Creating a PDF newsletter can consume a lot of time and effort. However, your effort ultimately pays off in good readership.

Generally, PDF newsletters are published every once in a month. This is due to the commitment they impose. The positive side is that they can easily be passed around. Thus, you may get free promotion from your subscribers as they pass your newsletter issues embedded with your affiliate links.

Given the choices, however, you do not have to necessarily choose strictly one newsletter format, as some newsletter publishers today do publish in more than one newsletter form.
